creative presentation

In this paragraph, I am writing about some symbols in hunger games and their effect on the film

what I am learning: About symbolism.
How does this work show my learningI have created a paragraph about symbols in hunger games What am I wondering as a result of this learning:  how the writers decided to use this symbolism

the mocking jay-

In the hunger games, the Mockingjay represents defiance and faith in the first movie katniss gets a mocking jay pin from the black market and it quickly becomes reminder for Katniss that she needs to have faith in herself to win the games so that she can return home to her sister. katniss later becomes district thirteens mocking jay to help them defeat the capitol and give everyone in district thirteen hope for victory and a better life. katniss and everybody else embarrassed the idea of mocking jay as a way of rebellion towards the evil Capitol that rules their world and their president, president snow.

The Silent Salute-

the silent salute represents respect and its a sign of gratitude, honour and admiration  in the reaping scene when katniss volunteers for her sister they all give her the silent salute because she volunteered and showed bravery and it was a sign of gratitude for her sacrifice and she was the first person to volunteer and in the scene were rue dies katniss gives district 11 the salute and they return the gesture

katniss's dress-

this was the dress that she wore at one of her interviews katniss after the first time she wore a fire dress witch was a black one she wore this when her and peeta were on the horses was known as the girl on fire so that's  what the dress symbolises it was also to symbolise her spirit witch as we see more later on in the films she is a very free spirit and doesn't like the capitols rules and we all know this because she later on helps district 13 take on the capitol as there mocking jay
